    The Al-Fajar Foundation is a testament to Syed Munawar Shah's dedication to social responsibility. Located in Swat, this foundation is a free-of-cost blood transfusion center that provides critical support to thalassemic patients. The foundation serves approximately 350-450 registered patients, offering essential services such as blood transfusions, iron chelation therapy, and counseling. This project is a crucial humanitarian effort that addresses a major health challenge in the region, reflecting his deep commitment to community welfare beyond education.

  • SPS Trekking Club
    Since 1991

    The SPS Trekking Club is an initiative that combines youth empowerment with a passion for adventure and environmentalism. The club, under Syed Munawar Shah's mentorship, organizes trekking expeditions for students across Pakistan's breathtaking landscapes. The primary goal is to foster youth leadership, teamwork, and resilience. The club’s activities are also linked to raising awareness about the UN SDGs and promoting global citizenship, encouraging students to become responsible stewards of their environment and communities. It’s an extracurricular project that blends physical challenge with character development and social consciousness.

  • Flood Relief Program
    2025

    In 2025, when devastating floods struck Swat, Mr. Syed Munawar Shah took initiative and launched a structured flood relief program in response to the crisis. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, he mobilized students and organized them to visit flood-affected areas in a planned and systematic manner. The program had a dual purpose students actively participated in cleanup efforts across the affected communities while also collecting and distributing relief materials to those in need. Under Mr. Shah's leadership, what could have been an overwhelming disaster response was turned into a coordinated, youth-driven effort that brought both practical help and hope to the people of Swat during one of their most difficult times.

  • Earthquake Relief Program
    2005

    In 2005, following the devastating earthquake that struck Pakistan, Syed Munawar Shah demonstrated outstanding leadership by organizing and supervising a large-scale relief effort. Under his guidance, students were mobilized and dispatched to remote and hard-to-reach areas that were among the worst affected by the disaster. The student teams carried medicines, food supplies, and other essential relief materials, ensuring that aid reached communities that were otherwise overlooked in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy. Through his supervision and commitment, Syed Munawar Shah played a pivotal role in channeling the energy and dedication of young people into meaningful humanitarian service during one of Pakistan's most catastrophic natural disasters.
